Reports Report 5803i (Event 5803-2021)

Observer
Name Ashley W
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I was up on a very high hill during the event, so that may throw off the angles a little bit. Also, I am not sure if I caught the beginning of it or not. Additionally, about 15 minutes later, I saw a small orange meteor in the same place, but on a different trajectory.

Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 5s
Length 30°
Remarks It left a glowing train in its wake that faded away quickly, but at the point of terminal flash it left a glowing white/blue cloud that lingered for several minutes brightly and then started dissipating while still glowing like a jet contrail.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks The meteor started bright, but then got brighter and then dimmed and then got brighter again before going out with a flare so bright it imprinted the negative image in my eyes for a few seconds. As the meteor got brighter along its path it started sparkling, and then a couple of sparks traveled along with it, leaving tiny trails. And at the big glad at the end, I couldn’t tell if it fragmented further because the flash was too bright.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
