Observer
Name Tom D
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks This was only the second time in my life I have seen such a bright and distinct meteorite a very lucky spot on our drive home from a weekend at the beach! I have a little experience of stargazing mostly from my years sailing and my time spent in the outdoors camping, swimming and exploring. Very much amateur star gazing with no formal training or qualifications.

Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 99.99s
Length
Remarks The smoke trail is all that we managed to capture in the picture attached it's very small and above the horizon in the grey haze band to the right of the picture before the far right trees. It started as a very steeply angled trail only maybe 2° long but I was driving when it appeared so by the time we stopped and took the picture(approx 4-5mins) the train had shifted and looked more horizontal in orientation. It disappeared soon after the picture.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks I saw a steep bright solid trail that quickly burst into a long trail of sparks/fragments the smoke trail remained where the burst occured. The whole event lasted 2-4 seconds at most. The trail of sparks appeared to linger slightly before disappearing to leave the train.
