Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Very fast moving. Much faster then an airplane. Incredible bluish white in color. Some reddish orange in elongated trail before it burned out. Best meteorite I have ever seen. I am a commercial airline pilot and have witnessed many meteor showers while flying at night at 35,000 feet. Although the sun was setting the sky was light and clear. Very intense color and brightness. It was amazing. At first sight, it appeared to be oblong in shape with the long axis perpendicular to it's flight path. If there was a sonic boom I could not hear it as I was driving on Hwy 29 north. The meteorite appeared at mid horizon in a descending path headed in a SW direction.
