| Remarks | Aside from the brightness of the object, the characteristic which most influenced my attention was how seemingly close it was. The elevation of the object seemed closer than a plane landing at an airport. My girlfriend, who was with me in the car, remarked that it "looked like something was crashing to the ground." I found that I was surprised that the object (as large and bright as it was) disintegrated before making contact with the earth. |

| Remarks | As the "fireball" moved across the sky and disintegrated, it was first red and then flashed into smaller yellow fragments before dissolving into the night sky. |
