Reports Report 667asu (Event 667-2013)

Observer
Name Frederick K
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Unlike a meteor shower, this bright green ball seemed like it was 100 meters in front of my face, very low (perhaps 1/4-1/2 mile high), and perhaps the size of a volleyball. It came from the north, sailed by me and continued on for a distance wise past Somers High School, and then just disappeared-about 1/4 of a second later. At first I thought that some had shot off a roman candle. It was a bright green "fireball" that flew past me. But it soon became evident from the size & speed that it was not a roman candle, nor was there anybody else out there w/me. I was trying, unsuccessfully to see comet Panstarrs, while standing on the grandstand, next to the "press booth" of the football field, when it sailed past me.
