Remarks I was lying on my couch facing north so that is why I was having a hard time answering the ?s about angles etc.. It appeared out of nowhere. It was so bright and fast I thought it was a plane crashing at nearby Westchester County Airport, but I didn't hear anything. It never occured to me that it might have been a fireball/meteor until I saw this article.
