Remarks I just want to emphasise the speed - there was a small, preceeding flicker or flash of light that drew our attention skywards and a split second later, in an instant, a glowing streak stretched the length of the night sky.

Remarks The fireball manifested as an instantaneous very bright streak across the entire sky. The bright glow slowly dimmed and faded until only a smoke trail was left which persisted for a few seconds longer across the entire sky. It was not too dissimilar from the Cheylabinsk fireball in appearance, but orders of magbitude faster, much smaller streak and smoke trail and no boom was noted.
