Remarks I’m on Topsail Island, looking toward the ocean over low trees from a third story window, with a full view of the sky from the northeast to southeast. I was watching the Space-X booster drop to the ocean (red glow) to the right/southeast, with the actual rocket flying far to the left/northeast at this point. As soon as the booster glow died out, the whole view of the east-southeastern sky lit up from the meteor’s flash, filling it like bright lighting, but there were no clouds visible or lightning on the radar, and no sound. My mother saw it as yellowish, while it looked blue-green and white to me, but it was brilliant to everyone present. My father, looking east-northeast at the rocket through another window in the room, thought he saw a separate piece of burning debris falling down, and at first he thought the flash was from a firework on the beach. (No fireworks went off, however.) We did not see a streak with the fireball, but we all saw the brilliant flash that filled the sky. Looking southeast, I initially thought the rocket booster must have exploded when it hit the ocean landing pad.
