| Remarks | Originally thought it was a plane coming down in flames. Then, no sound? It had a pronounced fiery flare at the nose and alternating colors, yellow to red and back. Fragments were falling off the fireball as it traveled from the Northeast, across the Eastern Sky and then disappeared into the Southwestern sky. Time in my field of view was about 6-7 seconds. Unlike a typical flash/streak from a meteor, this one was unreal. Best meteor/fireball I've ever seen. I'm an amateur astrophotographer, that's why I was out at 3:00 am...:) |
