What I saw was an intense spot of bright light moving more or less east at not a great angle downward. I was facing west crossing the street and it came into view in the SW low enough in the sky to have a building blocking its initial appearance, so I only saw it as it came out from behind the building. No other buildings blocked my view as it traveled for perhaps 2 seconds before the light stopped suddenly. I have a recollection of seeing some kind of cloudiness extending like a wake kind of around and behind the light but I don't recall seeing anything marking its pathway after the event (I wasn't looking for that and had no idea what to take note of). Although early morning, it was daylight and this light, though small, still registered as piercingly bright. It was a noteworthy experience. |
