I just punched out of work at 1040 and was outside walking to car a minute later. And the bright light caught my attention. I watched it the whole time. It's flight was steady and fast. Not like a firework which were going off at that time. I would guess that it started somewhere south of the lake and ended somewhere north north east of downtown Chicago.
