Remarks | I own a decent sized telescope. I'm always looking at the stars and planets. This is the second fireball I saw while on interstate 135. The first was 5 or 6 years ago, falling on my right (West), while heading south near Park city, KS |

Remarks | Hard to explain. It looked like it was trying to explode just above ground, but it broke up and got smaller and continued toward ground. It was VERY large, so I thought it was close, then it got smaller. I had the radio on loud so unsure about sounds. I saw a golden glow just over the hill for a few seconds in the same direction, right after as the Interstate peaked on a hill, but it might have been lights from one of the small towns. I kept looking for that glow but didn't see it again as I traveled south. When I got off the interstate, I headed toward where I thought it landed for 5 miles on Smoky Valley road toward Roxbury, KS (Opposite direction of my home), but I saw nothing. |
