Reports Report 3954a (Event 3954-2022)

Observer
Name Ranjit B
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks Luckily I was chanced to notice the event after a few minutes I went on the roof top of my residence (which I normally do for nearly an hour covering the midnight). The fireball appeared speedy to my eyes as it was near the horizon, its duration was just a bit above 2 seconds. I also operate one AMS138 station (fireball network camera system), so it captured and detected the event as usual. I can say that in view of radiant point of the Alpha Capricornids (001 CAP) the instant fireball matched properly, and this shower is active now - will be peaking at the end of July. So it is a meteor of fireball magnitude and is related to the CAP (as it appeared to me) and if I am not wrong. And if it is an Alpha Capricornids its velocity in the earth's atmosphere would be around 26-27 km/s as on date (at such solar longitudinal position).
