Remarks I have been outside nearly every night for three years looking up. Haven't seem much until tonight. What I saw made up for those boring three yrs of no action. Wow. It was huge, breaking up into pieces for nearly 30 seconds.

Remarks it was a meteor that was bright white, breaking up into pieces, heading generally North. parallel to the surface of earth. It left a smoke tail that wasn't all that large. Keep in mind it was at night time with no moon light. My son who lives 17 miles North of me said he saw a flash outside but gave it no thought.
Terminal flash
Observation No
Remarks -
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks The meteor was braking up into pieces as it crossed the sky moving North. Very cool to see. Not very bright though. Even with it being very dark out right now because of zero moon light. It must have been high in the atmosphere but it was clearly moving parallel across the sky.
