Remarks I was looking the wrong way (I saw the canyon wall be illuminated). Turned around and saw the last of the bright flash -- probably the diminishing part of the event. Still quite bright.

Remarks 6 people saw the burst (it brightly illuminated the opposite walls of the canyon). I thought I heard a delayed boom, but the other 5 were all making exclamations and did not report hearing the delayed boom.
