Reports Report 4290es (Event 4290-2022)

Observer
Name Brian S
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I was in my car driving with the music turned moderately up but the front windshield on my Avalon is massive. I noticed it was very windy before heading out and the traffic lights were swaying back and forth. I thought initially it was a storm coming in until I saw the incredibly bright light appear in the sky overpowering the street lights and normal city lights at night. I thought it could have been a plane going down because I live several miles from the airport but it seemed to be traveling way too fast and then started to look like a shooting star as it approached the ground.

Remarks I was heading Northish down West ave and I saw a bright flash on the Horizon to my left, like when you see lightning light up the horizon. Then a very large object with a really long trail appeared instantly to my right up in the sky. It lit up like almost bright white with a tinge of yellow. It only lasted a couple seconds and then it disappeared. It looked like a shooting star, but much bigger and brighter.
