Remarks | This was the first time I ever saw something so bright shooting across the daylight sky. I did watch the last Shuttle launch from Titusvile, and it reminded me of the launch, but this went across the sky sideways. |

Remarks | It was sun up, when looked up and saw some brownish gold trail turning into white with some kind of head. thought it was a space launch since I live in Florida, and watched the last shuttle launch. I was an aerospace photographer for Sperry /Lockheed Martin. I worked at a NASA missel base on Wallops Island watching rocket launches. I also photographed two Astronomy books, and have a friend who is a contributing editor to SKY and Tel and Astronomy magazine. This truly looked almost like a rocket launch. Unfortunately, I was driving, and construction barrels along the road, so I had no place to pull off, and I couldn't photograph it until I found a street near home. once I stoped, the fire ball (or meteor, dissipated, and the only thing left was its trails and the white vapor. |
