Remarks Sorry to be reporting this two weeks after seeing it. I know that makes my memory of the event a lot less reliable, but I just learned today that you wanted reports from everyone who saw it. My husband & I both saw this fireball on our usual walk before bed. It moved like a meteor, but it was SO much brighter than any meteor, star or planet that we thought it was probably manmade. We couldn't think of any likely manmade object that would look this way and make a nearly horizontal path through the sky, but we did notice that it visibly burned out somewhat like a firework. We considered the possibility that we'd seen a fireball but we thought fireballs were rare enough that the chances were slim. Two days later I saw the fireball in the news. So cool!
