| Remarks | The website says anything lasting more than a few seconds is not a fireball, but this was absolutely not a contrail or the result of a plane, so I’m not sure what it was. I saw it move slowly and evenly across the sky for about 30 seconds before quickly fading out, and I don’t know how long it was traveling before I noticed it. It had a clearly defined red central object followed by a red-orange tail. The photos make it look white but it was not. I am fascinated and would love to learn more if you find out what it was! |
