Reports Report 5990e (Event 5990-2022)

Observer
Name Craig F
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks It was closer than any I have seen before. Just got back from high desert in Central OR in mid Aug and saw many with very little light pollution but this was like a small jet hight, so bright and fast. No red green nav lights for an aircraft and WAY too fast. It also flamed out about 3/4 of the way and then burst back on same path before going dark for good. It was a full harvest moon and smokey in the area with wildfires. Moon was pretty normal and clear by rhw time I saw it. Height of the moon and the path were almost visually level too.
