Remarks I saw the one last September and it was from a distance, but this one was right above me. I was astounded and could barely articulate that it was happening. We were driving in a convertible with the top down and were just crossing the river and it seemed as if the fireball was exactly over the river. There were lots of sparks. it seemed like there were a lot of sparks and then they stopped a second and then there were a lot more sparks. I had to turn around in the car seat to see it as we drove across the bridge. It was such an amazing sight. My family has observed the Perseids many times from many different locations, as we have seen some beautiful meteors. But to have seen last Septembers and now this one is a lifetime of meteors all in one.Seeing last year's made me sure of what I saw tonight.
