Observer
Name Cindy E
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I have seen many shooting stars in my life, but this one was so, so close and extremely bright. My daughter and I were looking out of a 2nd floor north facing window. We were looking to the west to see the progress of the lunar eclipse. We saw the moon just past the eave of the roof, then the fireball became visible and lasted for about 1.5 - 2 seconds. The yellow-orange fireball had a white glowing periphery and tail from first sight. The white tail lasted until the fireball flashed even brighter and then all disappeared as it got closer to the horizon.
