Reports Report 8961t (Event 8961-2022)

Observer
Name Donna M
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks Most my life I regularly observe the night sky and have spotted many shooting stars and slower moving satellites. Last night I first saw what appeared to be a shooting star directly above me, coming from behind me, it was quite long across sky before quickly disappearing, this I think was the longest shooting star I have witnessed. I kept looking to see if I spotted another one. Then a few seconds later, on what would have been the same path but very low in the sky, I saw the bright ball with short bright smokey trail on the horizon before it very quickly disappeared. That was when I realized that the shooting star and bright fire ball were not two unrelated events.
