Where I live there aren’t many stars so when I originally saw it I was letting my dog out at 3 am and there was a dark sky that I wasn’t necessarily staring at but then a huge flash and a streak caught my eye. It was pretty bright. I jumped a little at first because I was not expecting it especially with no other stars in the sky that are visible. It startled me.
