Reports Report 1907hw (Event 1907-2013)

Observer
Name Brandon S
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I am an airline pilot and we were flying over Atlanta heading west on a 270 degree heading at 36,000ft around 2030pm when we saw this dark blue/green ball of fire streak across the atmosphere from right to left right in front of our eyes lighting up the whole cockpit for about 4 seconds. We asked ATC if they picked it up on their radar and they said no. Two other airlines came over the radio and said they saw it as well. It was the neatest thing I have ever seen in my life. I have seen shooting star and sattelites in my flying career, but never a fireball and especially nothing that bright.
