Reports Report 1907jy (Event 1907-2013)

Observer
Name Steven W
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks I was driving southwest and looking towards the south at some moonlit clouds. I saw the fireball enter the atmosphere near the very top of my field of view (65-75 degrees) and followed it until it burned up possibly down to the 15 degree mark at a 90 degree angle from the direction I was traveling. I am not exactly certain of the magnitude, but it was much brighter than the crescent moon, and may have been as bright as a full moon approximately to my west-northwest. This was the longest and brightest meteor trail I had seen since the even in Russia. I am estimating the event lasted close to 20 seconds, but I was driving at the time, so I am not as certain about the exact time.
