| Remarks | A distinct pop about 2 sec after it disappeared. The thing was a light, bright orange & flared intensely. It was about as broad as the biggest shooting star ,I've seen, except there was a separate small dot as part of the main streak. The directions given are terrible. I was lying on the ground with feet pointing approx East. The flash was bearing approximately N, at about 45 degrees to the plane of the Milky Way. It is possible that it ended up in the Acheron River, but I had no idea what to look for. There are some exotic looking rocks up there |
