I'm less than a amateur at this, but I've spent many weeks in the south west (Moab region among other regions with no light pollution) USA camping with someone who taught me a lot. This ball was the most vibrant I've ever seen. I've also watched many documentaries on it but I am not formally educated nor can I speak intellectually about this. My one big issue is my reported time could be within an hour of that. I was door dashing and focused on directions and not my clock foolishly. I didn't have my windows down to listen to any booms. My visibility was decent with a large swatch of land lacking trees. It looked like it was landing toward Shady Grove Road. I am not naïve enough to think it did though. I know it went thousands of more miles no doubt.

The trail was approx. 4-5 times the length of the fireball itself. It narrowed but was still defined with some width. I hope I'm answering the question.
