I was looking off a back porch around to just above the middle of the sky and I saw a bright flash appear that was white with yellow and orange behind it. It quickly (still bright) descended to what was my northwest (approximately from my location to Omaha. I did not see it end because trees blocked my vision. It was at least as bright as the moon but perhaps a bit brighter. I’ve only see one brighter, in the summer of 2009 around midnight.
My friend was with me and about 2 feet to my left. He did not see it but was looking directly down at the ground almost. I was looking to the sky.
