| Remarks | We were on top of Chief Mountain at an elevation of 11,700 feet. Two in our party saw it and one more saw the bright terminal explosion from their peripheral vision. It seemed quite close to us. In the past I have only seen meteors at night, so I wasn’t sure what this was. |

| Remarks | It was a bright, small explosion. At first I thought it was a small firework but then I realized there was no sound and we were on top of a mountain. |
