My husband and I both witnessed this. I saw it from the passenger seat and pointed it out to him and he had time to view it before disappearing in the horizon. We thought it may have been a plane going down and kept watching for an explosion or emergency vehicles. We were on the way to work at 6:02 am central time in Iowa, heading across the bridge to Illinois.
