Remarks Late reporting but this was an incredible sight. Far above any meteor I've seen before. Had been facing more southeasterly and just turned south when I caught a flash high and to my right. As I looked up it was just past zenith to my left with a trail about 15-20 degrees in length. It was large and brilliant white with some light blue near the edges, touches of pale green near the trail, and a bit of yellow and orange fire trail extending into the white trail. At about 55 degrees above the horizon I observed more yellow and orange and the trail broke. This happened again at roughly 40 degrees. It diminished in magnitude both times and to less white and more yellow and orange, deeper hued. There might have been another fragmentation just before it disappeared nearly due east.

Remarks The trail was long and then I saw more orange and yellow and the trail started leaving gaps. Had the amusing thought of long dashes in the sky. This happened at least twice and maybe three times.
