| Remarks | We had just turned onto the highway onramp for 131when we saw the meteor to our right (west). At first I thought it was a low flying aircraft but it was too big, moving too quickly and at a distinctly downward angle. As soon as I realized it was a meteor it broke into several different sized pieces (still more to the west side of the highway). That was when the colors changed to include a more orange, possibly reddish and yellow. The smaller chunks burned out over the highway and the largest burned out just to the east side of the highway. |
