Reports Report 3848d (Event 3848-2023)

Observer
Name Matthew James Alan M
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I was walking East to West. Clear morning, early morning clear sunlight. Light cloud not obscuring vision. The sky was clear and I had clear vision. It was round 0655 hrs, but there could be ten minutes each way and I did not have watch. Saw object in my left peripheral vision, turned saw bright green object with a long tail streaking across sky. I moved to be able to continue to watch as as its trail took it behind tree and moved so I could continue to watch it. After moving a couple of steps without breaking visual contact, I still had vision. Object disappeared in clouds over northern ridge of Chejuba/Barron Gorge Peak. I had vision for between two and five seconds, I would estimate around three seconds, but this is an estimation. Frankly, it was spectacular.
