Remarks Ah so there was another text box! I'm no astronomer, but grew up stargazing often, and Ive never seen anything like this. Sighted as I was leaving work at Six Flags Magic Mountain, I looked up to see this fireball- it looked so much bigger and brighter then in the 5 second video. I pulled out my camera before thinking I must be crazy- nobody wants a bad quality phone vid of a red line, I want to run and ensure my coworkers were seeing this too! I believe it lasted roughly 30 seconds, as that was plenty of time for me to film 5 seconds then run to my coworkers ahead while keeping an eye on the sky. Should have left camera rolling! The tail went from red to a bluish greenish, before turning into a darker purple and blinking out very quickly after. As we were standing there talking about how incredibly lucky we were to see it, a slow moving dot was pointed out to me and I said it must be a satellite before my coworker stated no, look closer! This one had no tail and was moving slower, but had a very defined clear "mushroom" around the head. This one lasted much longer, long enough for my coworkers to continue walking, and long enough for it to be almost touching the horizon before disappearing. I will make a separate report for this one! Both started around the same place in the sky.
