Attention: as with the location and viewing angles being attempts at the best possible approximations under the circumstances, I did not note down when I witnessed this event or a broken off portion thereof. Therefore, the time indication is an approximation only. It was guided by the time indications of reports of the nearest witnesses at the time of writing. There do exist two time recordings, namely one before and one after the witnessing, which will be elaborated here.
At first, as a fascinated layman, and this is referring to portions of a second, I assumed it to be an airplane. A smaller, private airplane, that is, due to its, in comparison, seemingly lower height. Albeit a rather bright one? Hmm, wait a minute! And indeed, instantly I reassessed this impression, as this object was, and seemingly vividly, on fire, before eventually disappearing and leaving me in awe.
Important note: I would think that in my experience, or possibly as part of my recollection, what I witnessed had a somewhat elongated shape and was bright, somewhere between white and light yellow, but, and perhaps oddly so, its tail end was what was on fire, was what was resembling a fireball.
A testament to taking one’s time, perhaps. Had I not, on my walk leading through a portion of a forest, halted for a closer look at the curiously splintered beginning of a branch, a photograph of which was taken at 20.07 o’clock local time, then walked on, taking a small detour towards a farm and in turn reading about its cultivation cycluses, then assisted a snail at the very center of a forthfollowing pebble walking path, then read through two or three information signs about the natural park respectively reserve, assisted by the camera flash of the mobile phone, I would not have arrived at the respective location at the respective time, and thus likely would not have witnessed what I witnessed. Afterwards, I visited a small convenience store with extended opening hours in the village neighbourhood bordering on the nature park, located less than five minutes away. After a good amount of minutes of checking things out in the store, the printed out receipt bears a timestamp of 21.02 o’clock. |
