Remarks During a security check, I accidentally caught picture of a fireball while beaming a flashlight in a boat hull. The fireball had a firey ripply reddish orange glowing trail that might have been about the partial length of a thumb, if one holds it out horizontally at an arm's length. The event was quick and quite spectacular. I've seen summer showers, this was the first time I've ever seen an actual large fireball.
