| Remarks | Was watching TV in my living room, on the far end of the couch that is close to a 9' tall glass window that faces approximately south to south east. I had most of lights on in the house, so my eyes were not at all night adjusted. Around approx 8:20 pm, my eyes detected motion near the top of the glass window. I quickly swiveled my head up and to the right in order to glimpse the tail end (I assume it was longer and I was only glimpsing the last portion) of a nice fireball that left a train. Would've have been quite impressive if I was outside with acclimated night vision. Because I was indoors in a well lit environment, it is hard for me to estimate magnitude beyond a rough guess of -8. |
