Remarks Initially, there was a single bright piece. as it moved across the sky it looked as though it split into to pieces with one following directly behind the other. The light trail from the leading piece appeared to contact the trailing piece and there was a single trail of light behind the second piece. It did not look big or far away, and my first thought was that it was a firework (large bottle rocket). My mind changed after it did not explode and maintained its brightness for the entire duration of its travel through the sky. I lost site of it behind a building as I was walking in to work, and so I could not ascertain its final fate.
