Here is my general entry for the event that day: On Monday April 17th, Courtney and I took the day off. I started getting my daily chores done and one of those is getting some cardio in. Still reeling from the weekend, we elected to take a short walk. We did a loop through the new neighborhood and then decided to add a lap up and down the hill one street over. As we were walking down, the construction in the new neighborhood came into view. We were mid conversation and )I was looking generally at the construction and a man standing on the roof. A bright flash of white drew my attention and for 1½ of a second I saw a straight line on hot white which was surrounded by what looked like a red green and blue hue. It flashed directly down towards the Earth to the NE of Denton. It did not streak across the sky, but looked like it was heading straight down. It was amazing. It was hard to explain. I got so excited. It was a once in a lifetime sight. I will remember it forever. I watched some youtube videos of similar occurrences describing it as rare. I am so happy to have seen something like this in my lifetime. I was so excited that some people in a nearby home must have seen me and I could hear them ask each other what was going on. We continued our walk and I kept my head to the skies and tried to explain what it looked like to Courtney. |
