Reports Report 7943f (Event 7943-2023)

Observer
Name Michael K
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I first thought that some irresponsible person launched a fireworks rocket. However the downward angle and no sound don't fit with that. I'm confused about the color. It was a bright grass green (light green). For my background, that's my first meteor observation I report. However I'm a trained nuclear physicists and professional astrophysicist/particle physicist, besides hobby astronomer. But watching meteors is not my expertise. That's why "experience 1". I used the fist rule (one fist 8 degrees) to estimate the height over horizon, and marks at the neighbor apartment block for the position angles. Actually I'm also surprised about the short track. The distance to Gemini is about 80 degrees, so this one should have grazed the atmosphere. I'm pretty convinced that the track ended above the roof. However I can't completely exclude that I missed part of the track because it went behind the house.
