Reports Report 7998h (Event 7998-2023)

Observer
Name David W
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks About 18 minutes after this sighting, I happened to have a telescope pointed at the Orion Nebula (M42), which was slightly lower in the sky than what I am reporting here (what I am reporting here streaked horizontally across the top of Orion, whereas M42 is in the belt of Orion). During a 10-second video I was taking of the Orion Nebula, a meteor (probably another Geminid, as both the one I'm reporting here, and the second one, emanated from the general direction of the constellation Gemini) streaked across through the telescope's field of view and can be seen in the video. In a still frame from the video, this second meteor appears quite orange. I am not reporting the second one as a possible fireball, because the only information I have about it is what little was seen in the video, through the telescope.
