Reports Report 450e (Event 450-2024)

Observer
Name Josh V
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks It must have been pretty bright bc when I witnessed this i was driving in downtown Lexington ky and had just started off from sitting at a red light. So there was quite a bit of "light pollution" but it still was very easy to see and even though i was looking in the same general direction of its start, it would have caught the eye even in the peripheral even with all of the other lights of stoplights, cars and other luminous objects in the area.

Remarks As it came down from approximately 1 o'clock to 7 o'clock, about half way through its visual presence it gave off what looked like a flash and a smaller "piece" separated and continued at what looked like a similar speed but a more directly down trajectory. The main part kept going for another second maybe but then disappeared with a second faint flash. It was pretty impressive from my limited experience seeing such astronomical phenomena.
