Reports Report 1100a (Event 1100-2024)

Observer
Name Johnna W
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks This was very cool and I have never seen anything like it before. It appeared to be in front of the nearly full moon, and the green flash was equally large and bright as the same moon. Very awesome sight.

Observation Yes
Remarks It sounded like a pop or a boom, but it wasn’t loud really but rather, it was more of a feeling of the enormous quick movement. Like a quick pop then a super deep bass tone, with almost no separation of the two

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks It was so fast I hardly registered seeing it until it was gone, but at first right after it happened, the air around me was glittering and glowing like tiny pieces of glitter. It was gone very fast. The flash was super intense and bright, a bright whitish green with a slice of dark blue at the front of the fireball. It had a very long but quick to dissipate trail of glittery gold/white light. The green was very very bright. I could not find any pieces of glittery stuff. After I got back home, about 1/3mile walk from the sighting, I noticed my car and all the surfaces in our yard are covered in what looks like specks of something. Like it rained grains of sand. It is still on everything now.
