Reports Report 1460c (Event 1460-2024)

Observer
Name Sarah W
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I was sitting in my house with the lights on as I talked to my roommate— this was bright enough I noticed it out the darkened window of my living room and drew my attention just as it was breaking apart! Between the streetlights and general grime on my windows I can barely see the moon, I definitely can’t see stars unless I turn the lights off, this was spectacular and bright by comparison. Just absolutely stunning, my poor roommate is so bummed she had her back to the window and missed it because I yelled so loud when I saw it!

Remarks The ball appeared to lose its top 3rd (cleaved along a horizontal axis, one parallel to the ground) and become at least two separate pieces before I lost sight of it behind my neighbors’ roof
