I observed the Leonids in the late 1990s in Anza Borrego Desert. Saw a few fireballs that were green. But never have seen a straight vertical drop like this one and largest and brightest ever seen. I watch meteor showers at least twice a year

The radius of light increased as it fell. Very bright. Saw some streamers that could indicate fragments but t can’t be positive. I was a passenger in a moving car traveling at freeway speed.
