Reports Report 2919y (Event 2919-2024)

Observer
Name Colette R
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks This meteor did not have a long streaking trailing tail like most I've seen, but appeared rather suddenly with an extremely bright, white, round head with a short, colorful tail (only approximately 2/3 the length of the head) as if it were moving slower than most and the tail curved and the head 'dipped' (rather than streaked) as it disappeared. IOW, it 'hooked' into vanishing rather than 'shooting'.
