The following is a message I sent my husband about it before I started trying to research what I saw. He was sleeping inside, while I was laying on my back on the trampoline. The meteor/fireball/bolide/incredibly-bright-thing appeared straight overhead and disappeared behind the north treetops.
Message: I saw something amazing tonight at 23:39 [the camera said 23:38]!!! I literally threw off the covers and sat up straight exclaiming HOLY CRAP!!!
Idk what it was…. But something entered our atmosphere and it was so bright that it got my attention. It seemed to have three circular bodies as one body and a clear tail. The body seemed to be burning an incredibly bright blue with an orange tail and it was really close!! Omg. I actually waited to hear an impact or feel a wave or something cause…. I’ve never seen anything like that and I don’t think it was a satellite……… if it was a shooting star like what you normally see way up in the sky, this thing was about 200x larger. Like if I hold my hand up in the night sky, that’s how freaking big it was way up there 😱😨 |
