I teach High School Astronomy and regularly watch meteor showers. I have never seen as bright of a fireball as this.

_We are camping in the woods so it is very quiet here. We were enjoying watching the meteor shower around the Big Dipper. At 11 we walked WNW towards our tent when we saw the very bright fireball. There was 1 delayed boom, deeper than fireworks but similar to the sound of a distant large city firework exploding._
