Observer
Name Mike H
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I was driving north on Highway 231-431, just coming across the creek at Steger Bend when I noticed the object streaking on an approximate heading of 010. The Highway at this point is roughly 15° angle to runway 18-36 at KMDQ airport in Meridianville, AL. I saw multiple rapid flashes and small fireballs split off and rapidly burn out. The smaller lights got too dim roughly.1-.3 sec. after they split off. The main fireball lasted approximately .5 sec longer and extinguished.
